BAYHYDUR 401-60 PGDA is a hydrophilically modified aliphatic polyisocyanate based on isophorone diisocyanate (IPDI). BAYHYDUR 401-60 PGDA can be used as a co-reactant for aqueous resins and as a hardener for chemically resistant and weather-stable systems. It contains approximately 60% in propylene glycol diacetate. Some key benefits of using BAYHYDUR 401-60 PGDA include significantly longer pot-life, even at elevated processing temperatures, faster drying, improved robustness and an increased blister free coating thickness. BAYHYDUR 401-60 PGDA can be easily emulsified into the aqueous phase and is mainly used as a co-crosslinker to improve coating characteristics by increasing surface hardness, resistance to chemicals and solvents.
