BELSIL DM 500000

BELSIL DM 500000 is a linear, non-reactive, unmodified polydimethylsiloxane with a viscosity of 500 000 mm2/s. It is characterized as a dimethicone with low surface tension and high spreading coefficient. Due to its flexible polymer backbone, this dimethicone has high permeability to gases like water and vapor which allows respiration of the skin. BELSIL DM 500000 provides a hydrophobic, protective, but breathable barrier for the skin, imparting softness and emolliency. It improves the water resistance of various products, and prevents stickiness in formulations. BELSIL DM 500000 is widely used in a diverse range of formulations where it conditions by improving both wet and dry combability, imparting humidity resistance and a soft feel, and enhancing shine.
